(Goddess in the Making)

goddessI’m getting ready to take a new Suzi Blu class called “Be Divine.” I love Suzi and am drawn to everything she puts out, but I’m especially drawn to this class. Ever since reading “The Dissident Daughter,” I’ve been attracted to the idea of the divine feminine.

Before the class begins in December, Suzi has asked us to consider what we feel it means to be divine, to be a Goddess, and here’s what I’ve come up with today… I believe a Goddess is a woman who feels confident about who she is. She’s someone who loves and accepts herself, flaws and all. She loves life and follows her passions without compromise and the people she surrounds herself with love and respect her for making this commitment. A Goddess makes no apology, she embraces her creativity, and she never (ever) second-guesses the plan the Universe has for her – in fact, she thirsts for that guidance and she trusts that it will never fail her.

Suzi’s next question has me spinning in the corner a little – am I a Goddess? I’d like to think so, but I’m going to have to go off and consider this one a bit before I answer. I’ll try to keep you posted as I explore the idea further.

Blessings,
Kelley

great questions – I believe that each of us is THE Goddess, different expressions of her. That’s quite a bit of power to step into – scarey. And very very cool.

I love your idea of what a goddess is, but I have a question…

you say she should never ever second guesses the plan the universe has for her.

I wonder about that one, because it kind of makes it impossible to be a goddess without being kinda crazy, too. We all have doubt sometimes, and sometimes we need them. Is there room for a goddess to have doubts without losing her goddesshood? Does she have to be perfect?

Just something to toss in there.

  4. I think you make a good point Rowena – what I struggle with is knowing which of my intuitions are “divine guidance” and which are “crazy notions.” I tend to think ALL of my intuitions are “crazy notions” which is probably a little unfair to me (not to mention the universe). I guess my point (and I should have been more clear) is that a goddess would be able to easily recognize the difference – trusting in the wisdom of the divine stuff and tossing the crazy stuff.

Thanks for helping me clarify the thought!
