I treated myself to a trip to the library today! I can’t really remember the last time I went. I’ve tended to be sort of a collector of books – especially the ones I really love but, lately, I’m finding myself significantly less attached to print media. I’ve learned to love reading electronically (even some magazines – Oprah is fantastic on the iPad). I used to be not-so-much on that front, until I realized I could have any book I wanted – instantly! I learned a while back that my metro library system now even offers ebooks, though today I rounded up several of the old-fashioned kind (I see some bubble bathing in my future).
Art books are, of course, another story – those are slowly taking over my bookshelves! In fact, I got quite a post-Christmas surprise yesterday when I got a big, heavy package from my friend Mary. Mary works for Quarry Booksri and way back in September, when I was at SAW, I won a package of books donated by Quarry. Mary offered to mail them to me, then the holidays set in and we both forgot. I’m actually glad – opening that box reminded me of the wonderful time I had at SAW AND I now have a whole bunch of new art books to browse through after I finish up my last work day next week (though probably not in a bubble bath – wouldn’t want to risk precious art books)!! Thank you Mary and Quarry!!!!!!!
